POSITION: Sr. Donor Relations Associate
EXEMPT / UNION

GRADE EF-4 SALARY RANGE: $93,110 to $134,488
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President: Development, the Sr Donor Relations Associate strives to achieve the Federations fundraising goals and stewardship of the annual campaign by assuming responsibility for all lay/donor aspects of Valley region activities and in Los Angeles, committee stewardship, events, programs, and does other related work as required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
Actively and confidently manage a portfolio of donors primarily through field-based face to face donor contact, securing meetings and soliciting gifts.
Assist in the research, identification and cultivation of donor prospects for the Annual Campaign, Strategic Philanthropy and Planned Giving.
Solicit/co-solicit current major gift donors for annual gifts.
Solicit/co-solicit upgrades and new major gift donors for their annual gifts.
Develop and sustain relationships with qualified major gifts donors favorable to upgrading individual giving, expansion of donor-base and leadership development.
Based on established guidelines, utilize fundraising software to document and maintain files of donor/prospect and substantive ongoing moves contacts.
Assist in the formulation of cultivation plans and solicitation strategies of major gifts donors/prospects.
Assure adherence to Campaign timetable and schedules.
Attend committees as required in partnership with Donor Experience team member.
May carry out various functions otherwise assigned.
Prepare necessary reports.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Be available to supervisor for additional assignments, as required, including assisting with the Campaign.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
BA required, advanced degree preferred. Appropriate education and 5 years related experience strongly desired.
Prior experience in fundraising, sales and or related activity with a local or national organization.
Must be goal oriented, great with people, a good speaker and able to deliver high level information about the Federation and our programs.
Able to travel to frequent donor meetings outside the office
Experience with constituent management or sales database systems. MS Office proficiency.
Knowledge of Judaism and appreciation for an increasingly diverse Los Angeles Jewish community, with strong verbal, writing and organizational skills highly desirable.
A hybrid work model will be implemented for certain positions during transition back to worksite(s). This position must report to worksite on non-remote workdays, as determined by the Federation.
